N O T I C E
Effective from 5 January 2012, Indian nationals wishing to apply for a tourist or transit visa to Thailand are requested to submit ONLY their current passport, valid for at least six (06) months, along with the duly filled–in application form, photographs, and other supporting documents. (Expired passport will only be required from applicant upon request of the Royal Thai Embassy as additional supporting document.)
Application submitted with invalid passport will not be accepted by the VFS Thailand Visa Application Center.
Kindly note, however, that above change does not apply to application of Non-Immigrant Visa or Non-Indian applicants, for which previous passports can still be submitted to support their applications.

Revised VFS Service Charge effective 2 December 2011 (South India)
Dear Applicants & Travel Agents,
This is to inform you all that effective 2 December 2011 there is a change in the VFS Service Charge for applications submitted at Thailand visa application centre in Chennai, Bangalore and Hyderabad. The revised Service Charge would be as mentioned in below table.

ANNOUNCEMENT
The Royal Thai Embassy would like to inform the public regarding the new guidelines for submitting visa application forms:
1. Applications for all types of visa: - All fields in the application form must be completed except for those fields which are not applicable.
2. Applications for Tourist and Transit Visa:-

Not applicable in case of group of travelers guaranteed by private travel agent or sponsored by public/private corporate. However, the agent/corporate must issue a guarantee/sponsor letter which is signed by authorized person and attached with the list of group members citing details (name and passport details of each individual, confirmed return flight information and hotel reservation of the group. |

1). Confirmed return air ticket/vessel itinerary,
2). Financial statement/credit card issued by a bank or financial institution (not applicable in case of frequent travelers to Thailand) and

The above guidelines must be strictly followed and will be effective for all application submitted from the second session of 17th June 2011 onwards. Thailand Visa application Center will not accept applications which do not meet the above specified guidelines. Ins case of any traveler guaranteed by private travel agents or sponsored by public/private corporate is involved in illegal activities again the Thai immigration law, the guaranteed entity will be blacklisted by the Embassy and rejected to submit application for Thai visa.

Thailand Visa Application Centre Now in Hyderabad!
In order to bring about greater efficiency in issuing of visas, the Royal Thai Consulate General, Chennai, has extended their collection of visa applications and delivery process in Hyderabad additional to Chennai and Bangalore Thailand Visa Application Centre through VFS Global, the world’s largest outsourced consular services company.
Effective 06 June 2011, VFS Global will operate Thailand Visa Application Centre in Hyderabad for the applicants currently residing in Andhra Pradesh. However, the decision to grant a visa or otherwise would continue to remain with the Royal Thai Consulate General, Chennai.
